Collection Post: Zoya Part II

Here's the next installment of my Zoyas. And it's beautiful reds!
L-R: Posh, Blair, Kalista, Sloane
As for the swatches I have L-R: Posh (matte), Posh (with topcoat), Blair, Kalista, and Sloane.
Here they are with no flash under fluorescent lights.
Here they are with flash. ENLARGE! Look at that wonderful Zoya shimmer!
Posh: applies like a matte dream. And because it's matte, so fast dry time! Could definitely be worn as 1 coat and out the door. I always use 2. I love it matte and shiny. I actually did a post on this color all by itself. :)
Blair: PERFECT darkened red for fall. I love it on my toes...and on my fingers. Flawless application. 2 coats to perfection.
Kalista: a nice pretty brown. Zoya describes it as: Dark espresso brown with plum-purple undertones and strong golden shimmer. SPOT ON! It's really pretty for fall and winter. 2 coats for opacity...like most Zoyas. lol
Sloane: a really dark purple with Kalista-esque shimmer. It can tend to look too dark in some lights but under lights it's a beautiful purple. I think you can wear at 2 coats but 3 adds depth.

Well that's all for now folks. Stay pretty and polished! :)

Guess what I'm Starting Today?!

The 30 Day Nail Challenge that's what!
So for day one I did Zoya's Posh with one coat of Soho Punch and one coat of flakie.
Check out the flakieness!!!
I got bored after a little while and did a matte topcoat. :)
I love this color! :D

Collection Post: OPI, the reds and pinks.

Well here's the start of my OPI collection!
Let's get started.
Below I have from L-R: Pink Flamenco, I'm Indi-a Mood for Love, Italian Love Affair, Elephantastic Pink, You're Such a Kabuki Queen, and My Chihuahua Bites.
This is under fluorescent lighting.

These are from L-R: Cajun Shrimp, Monsooner or Later, Dutch Tulips, and Kennebunk-Port.

All of these colors are very opaque and wonderful colors. I actually like the OPI wide brush for it's semi stiffness and controllability.
OH! And if you're wondering why some bottles are covered in polish, my mom dropped my polishes when we moved last year and we suffered 2 OPI causalities. :( I never got around to meticulously cleaning every bottle...maybe one day. :)

Zoya Posh!

I've never said this but how cute are their little bottles! :D
This is Posh from the 2009 MatteVelvet Fall collection. She is soon to be discontinued. :(
But check out these gorgeous pictures before she's gone! :)
This is just one coat! She's a one coat wonder!
Might be my new go to for fast and out the door.
Here's two coats. Still matte and fabulous.
I was literally swooning over this color mid-application.
And are you ready for this? Top coat! Simply spectacular!
So glossy, red and wonderful.
I use Out the Door top coat by the way. It's one of my faves.
I just can't get over how pretty this is. I can barely keep my composure while typing this. lol
Closer up. I'd do macro shots but I've been taking all this pictures on my iphone. :(
But do you see that shimmer almost pulling pink? It's awesome!
Verdict? I'd say if you're looking for a polish that is great for fall and looking good matte and glossy look no further. I love all the Zoya mattevelvets I have. They apply like no matte I've ever used before. Savita and Veruschka are both wonderful. I may do post on them soon. ;)
Until next time! Stay polished and pretty. :)

Revlon - Electric Pink

I was in lovvvve with this color.
Can't believe I had it for weeks and never even tried it on. lol
Is my bottle of seche vite the only one doing that? lol
This picture is the brightest it looked:

Ok let me just say one thing. This polish is all of those colors. Not joshing! In some lights it looked bright pink...in others it looked coral...sometimes it even looked red. Application was typical of Revlon polishes, good. Definitely will be wearing again. :)
